 Conference Abstracts
Conference abstracts can be in Russian or English. The abstracts should be prepared in LaTex according to Springer style for the LNCS papers:

http://www.springer.com/computer/lncs?SGWID=0-164-6-793341-0

but without the “abstract” environment. The size of an abstract is limited to one page. The LaTex class files that may be downloaded here:

ftp://ftp.springernature.com/cs-proceeding/llncs/llncs2e.zip

An example of abstract formtatting in English is provided here.
An example of abstract formtatting in Russian is provided here.

Both LaTex and pdf-files of the abstracts should be sent via e-mail to the address of the Organizing Committee opta2018@yandex.ru . In the e-mail with the abstract, authors provide the following information: full names of the authors, and academic degrees. Authors willing to submit a proceedings paper following an abstract, should mention this as well..
Decisions regarding acceptance of talks for oral presentation at the conference will be made by the Program Committee on the basis of abstracts. Abstracts that do not fit the conference scope or do not adhere to the formatting requirements may be rejected. Accepted talks will be included into the conference program if at least one author pays the conference fee.
 Conference Proceedings
Pre-conference proceedings will be published in English in Springer series "Communications in Computer and Information Science" (peer reviewed, inexed in Scopus and other international databases). All proceedings papers must be prepared by Springer rules for the Communications in Computer and Information Science:

https://goo.gl/r83B1W

The following two options are acceptable for proceedings papers:

- Regular paper, 10–15 pages (the Publisher recommendation is 12-15 pages);
- Short communication, 6–8 pages.

The proceedings papers should present new unpublished results. Papers must not be submitted concurrently to another conference or journal. Decisions on acceptance of papers to the proceedings will be made by the Program Committee on the basis of evaluations of reviewers. At most 10% of the papers will be accepted in the form of short communications. In case the number of such papers exceeds the limit, the Program Committe will select only the best short communications so that they make up 10% of all accepted papers.

The papers for proceedings should be submitted by the EasyChair system:

https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=opta2018

The abstracts should not be submitted through EasyChair sistem, they are sent via e-mail only.

 About OPTA
OPTA-2018 is the 7th conference on optimization problems and their applications organized in Omsk. The preceding conferences were organized in 1997, 2003, 2006, 2009, 2012 and 2015 by the same team lead by Professor Alexander Kolokolov. In those years the conference was named "Optimization Problems and Economical Applications". The International Workshop "Discrete Optimization Methods in Production and Logistics" (DOM-2004) was also a predecessor of this conference. Journal of Mathematical Modelling and Algorithms published a special issue composed of materials presented at DOM-2004.

OPTA belongs to a series of international conferences on optimization and operations research in Siberian and Ural areas of Russia that cover a wide range of topics in operations research, mathematical programming, discrete optimization and their applications. This series also involves the International Conference on Discrete Optimization and Operations Research (DOOR), Baikal International Triennial School-Seminar Methods of Optimization and Their Applications (BITSS) and Mathematical Programming and Its Applications (MPA). The main purpose of these conferences is to provide a forum where researchers can exchange ideas, identify promising directions for research and application domains, and foster new collaborations.
